Sticking Politics Where It Belongs.
Fixated on where kids pee…
You read that correctly. Most of us have a love/hate relationship with politics. Everyone that’s following politics these days is wearing a metaphorical poncho. No doubt in my mind. Nevertheless, I’ll be wearing that poncho throughout the creation of this blog and the many more to come. Because after all, we can’t get enough of how horrendous this current administration is.
The political world is a painfully slow one. Just so you have an idea how it typically works. A party that promises something that ultimately wins over the people and gets them into power, will find that promising and delivering are two very different things. Laws usually take an age to get through all of the different stages of voting that need to be navigated in order to bring them into being, and it’s often the case that the legislation that is passed is a pale imitation of what was originally proposed. I like to call it a watered-down version that tries to please everyone and ends up disappointing all. But by this point, it’s time for the next election and the whole shebang starts all over again.
That is exactly what happened throughout the Obama years (which were very good to me.) The Great Barack, Preezy of the United Steezy, The People’s Champ. Spent eight good years fighting for the middle and lower class. Spent eight good years keeping diplomatic relations with other countries in tact. Spent eight good years rescuing the country from the Great Recession, cutting the unemployment rate from 10% to 4.7% over six years. Spent eight good ye… OK, you get the point. We were fortunate. We were blessed. I say blessed because.. Well because now we’re stuck with Mr. Piggy Wiggy. Adolf Twitler. America’s Black Mole. Mr. Cheeto Benito. This boiled ham in a wig whose actual name is Donald Trump… The toddler himself has spent all his time in office playing golf (141 days – but who’s counting), costing tax payers roughly about $77,000,000 – or dismantling every single policy that our great Barack spent eight years working on.
The Donald actually has no ideas about policies of his own. His obsessive predilection for dismantling Obama’s advancements and achievements has nothing to do with good policies & everything to do with racism & greed. The echoes of the Nixon presidency with the Trump presidency is frightening and I can’t emphasize this enough.
Let this post serve as a glimpse of what you will be seeing on this section. Passion is persuasive. If you can get out of your comfort zone, you can make a lot of change. That’s my goal. Along with my poncho, I aim to inform to the best of my ability. I will be uploading blogs periodically so that readers can stay up to date about what is happening in this frightening political atmosphere.
